Obituary of Devonna Rose New

IN LOVING MEMORY OF DEVONNA ROSE NEW Devonna Rose New, daughter of Victor and Margaret (Rapp) Ballinger, was born on July 26, 1938, in Norton, Kansas, and passed away at Hays Medical Center, in Hays, Kansas, on February 28, 2013, at the age of 74 She grew up in the Devizes area northwest of Norton, and attended the Norton public schools. She married Gerry New on January 29, 1956, at the Norton Christian Church. Following their marriage they made their home in Norton, until 1968, when they moved to Denver, Colorado, where she was a homemaker. They returned to the Norcatur community in 2006. Devonna was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Survivors include: her husband, Gerry, of Norcatur; one son, Alan, and wife, Julie New, Denver; one daughter Cindy, and husband, Chuck Rissmiller, Denver; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial has been established to the Devonna New Memorial Fund.
