Obituary of Lester Dean Bausch

IN LOVING MEMORY OF LESTER D. BAUSCH Lester Dean Bausch, son of Lester H. and Mildred C. (Tatum) Bausch, was born January 9, 1945, in Bakersfield, California, and passed away at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas, on January 2, 2013, at the age of 67. Lester attended the Burr Oak, Kansas elementary school and graduated from the Burr Oak High School. On September 23, 1978, Lester and Faye Ann Reese were united in marriage in Norton, Kansas. They made their home in Norton where Lester was an officer with the Norton Police Department and later an officer with the Kansas Department of Corrections. In 2007, they moved to Kearney, Nebraska, and returned to Norton in 2010. Lester had been a member of the Norton Christian Church and had recently transferred his membership to the Norton First Church of God. He had also been active with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with his children. He collected old toys and enjoyed fishing, drawing, and researching family history, but his greatest love was his family. Survivors include: his wife, Faye Ann Bausch, Norton; three daughters, Jennifer Karabin and fiance, Tad Hartsough, Heather Bausch and J.P. Price, Amber and Alan Brown, all of Norton; one son, Roger Bausch and Crystle Mansfield, Scottsbluff, Nebraska; four grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Lester was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial has been established to Gift Life House in Rochester, MN.
