Obituary of Marylin Jean Mann
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
MARYLIN J. MANN
Marylin Jean Mann, daughter of Richard Eldon and Laura Mae (Sheets) Waller, was born December 1, 1936, in DeWitt, Arkansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kansas, on July 15, 2012, at the age of 75.
Marylin grew up in Norton County and attended the Densmore and Edmond schools. On October 2, 1955, she married John G. Mann in Edmond. They made their home northwest of Norton and later Almena, Kansas, where they raised their family.
Marylin was a member of the Almena United Methodist Church, a member of the Eagles 3288 in Norton and a past president of the Eagle's Auxiliary. She and her husband were also Mr. and Mrs. Eagle for the state of Kansas in 2009. Marylin was a homemaker, babysitter, and greatly loved her family.
Survivors include: her husband, John Mann, of their home in Almena; one son, Roger Mann, Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Cheryl and Mary Mann, Norton; three grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and Larry Waller, both of North Carolina; two sisters, Donna Freeman and Alice Bryant, both of Oregon; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Waller, Scott City, Kansas; other relatives and friends.
Marylin was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and her husband, Carol and Dennis Gene Woodmansee, two brothers, Dan and Pete Waller, one niece, Carla Jones, and one daughter-in-law, Sue Wiggs.
A memorial has been established to the Marylin Mann Memorial Fund.
