Obituary of Vincent Leonard Wahlmeier
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
VINCENT L. WAHLMEIER
Vincent Leonard Wahlmeier, son of Aloysius Louis and Credilla Ruth (Spohrer) Wahlmeier, was born on March 6, 1926, in Jenning, Kansas, and passed away on March 21, 2010, in Naperville, Illinois, at the age of 84.
Vincent grew up in Jennings and attended the Jennings schools. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Vincent was a farmer by trade and had made his home in several communities including Jennings, Kansas, Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and San Manuel, Arizona.
He was active with his church, farming, and family.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jessica Cabinian, Naperville; one son, John A. Wahlmeier, East Hampton, New Jersey; six brothers, Robert Wahlmeier, Hays, Kansas; Hugh Wahlmeier, Horseheads, New York; Galen Wahlmeier, Kennedy, Saskatchewan, Canada; John Wahlmeier, San Manuel, Arizona; Louis Wahlmeier, Colby, Kansas; Carl Wahlmeier, Jennings, Kansas; five sisters, Loretta Byrne, Glendora, California; Rita Pallante, East Hampton, New Jersey; Sister Frances Cabrini, Concordia, Kansas; Elaine Veach, Nashville, Tennessee; Jane Cassidy, Olathe, Kansas; five grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Norbert and Paul Wahlmeier, and one sister, Virginia Bruggeman.
Rosary services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010, at 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph Auditorium in New Almelo.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Almelo, KS.
