Obituary of Clifford D. Schoenthaler
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
CLIFFORD D. SCHOENTHALER
Clifford D. Schoenthaler, son of Martin and Louise (Beljung) Schoenthaler, was born November 21, 1932, in Ellis, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kansas, on December 8, 2011, at the age of 79.
Clifford attended the schools in Ellis and attended trade school for welding. He was also a mechanic in the U.S. Navy. On November 22, 1970, he married Carol Smith in Larned, Kansas. They made their home in Larned for 14 years before moving to Norton where they have lived for the past 30 years. Clifford was a true handyman and his talents as such will be missed.
Clifford was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee. He was a musician and loved music and enjoyed fishing. His greatest pride and joy in life was his family and spending time with them on the family farm.
Survivors include: his wife, Carol Schoenthaler, Norton; his children, Clinton, and wife, Lizzetty Schoenthaler, and Terry Haynes, and husband, Steve Jeltz, all of Norton; Jim Hall, Lawrence, Kansas; Dana and husband, Mark Stenzel, Bazine, Kansas; Darin and wife, Joy Hall, Shawnee, Kansas; one brother, Marty Schoenthaler, Douglas, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ellis, KS.
Memorials have been established to the Norton County Health Dept. and Hospice Services of Norton County.
