Obituary of John G Mann

IN LOVING MEMORY OF JOHN G. MANN John G. Mann, son of John Earl and Mary (Knapp) Mann, was born August 6, 1933, in Norton County, Kansas, and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, on January 4, 2016, at the age of 82. John grew up in Norton County. He attended the schools in Norton and received his GED in 1971. On October 2, 1955, John and Marylin Waller were united in marriage in Edmond, Kansas. John served in the U.S. Navy where he was stationed in China Lake, California. The Navy took him to several places including the Pacific Theatre. After his discharge from the Navy, John and Marilyn made their home in Norton County where he was a local truck driver. Marilyn passed away July 15, 2012. John remained in their home until his health required the move to the Andbe Home in Norton. John was a member of the Norton Saddle Club, the S.P.P.A., and the Eagles Lodge in Norton where he had served as President and Trustee. John adored his family especially his children and grandchildren. Survivors include: one son, Roger Mann, Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Cheryl and Mary Mann, Norton; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, Carol Woodmansee, and one sister, Betty Williams.
